Applications of the Whole-House Building System

Ideal projects for the Whole-House Building System in the United States and internationally consist of large (800+ homes) residential projects with sales absorption of 10 to 18 or more homes per month.
Examples of these types of projects include:

Large-scale Residential Developments in the United States and Internationally:
The single family housing market (both detached and attached) within 800+ home master planned communities and large subdivisions. These projects are routinely developed in the suburban growth regions of major metropolitan areas, as well as in certain major in-fill redevelopments.

Military Housing:
Large military housing projects are also a large and attractive market available to CBH.  One of the country’s largest privatization efforts currently underway is the U.S. Department of Defense’s Military Housing Privatization Initiative.  This Initiative looks to the private sector to construct, own, and manage military housing.  Since the Initiative was enacted in 1996, privatization projects that include more than 186,000 housing units have been awarded of which tens-of-thousands of housing units remain to be built.  In addition, projects that include more than 50,000 housing units are in planning or pending solicitation.

Special Circumstances:
There are many instances where unique, special circumstances trigger the need for large-scale housing implementation.  Examples include major industrial projects creating significant housing demand in a condensed period of time or Hurricane Katrina, which resulted in several hundred thousand homes being destroyed or substantially damaged. Many of these homes and communities will not be rebuilt, but it is highly likely that reconstruction of tens-of-thousands of homes will occur, and there is an expressed need to rebuild homes and communities quickly and with a far higher quality level than existed previously.

CBH will be continuously refining its systems, processes and supply chain over time, allowing its Whole-House Building System to eventually be applicable for smaller residential communities that may be 500 homes or greater.
